Konzipiert wurde die Exposition von dem Zeitz MOCAA – Museum of Contemporary Art konzipiert und in Kooperation mit Anita Haldemann, Daniel Kurjakovic und Daniel Kurjakovic realisiert.

Lynette Yiadom-Boakye est présente dans l’exposition When We See Us.
Tandazani Dhlakama et Koyo Kouoh (commissaires d’exposition) l’ont invitée ainsi que Michael Armitage, Njideka Akunyili Crosby, Romare Bearden, Ben Enwonwu, Joy Labinjo, Jacob Lawrence, Danielle McKinney, Sungi Mlengeya, Mmapula Mmakgabo Helen Sebidi, Chéri Samba, Amy Sherald, Cyprien Tokoudagba, Zandile Tshabalala à parler de cent ans de peinture figurative panafricaine.
L’exposition a été conçue par le Zeitz MOCAA – Musée d’art contemporain et réalisée en coopération avec Anita Haldemann, Daniel Kurjakovic et Daniel Kurjakovic.
